A local court in Islamabad has approved bail for Bushra Bibi, the former first lady and wife of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, in the 190-million-pound Al-Qadir Trust case. The court extended her bail until September 26, with surety bonds worth Rs 100,000, and barred authorities from arresting her until the next hearing.

In another hearing, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) adjourned the hearing on Bushra Bibi’s petition against audio leaks until September 18. The case involves audio leaks related to her and Zulfi Bukhari. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had launched an investigation against Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, and others for alleged land acquisition in the name of Al Qadir University Trust, causing a loss of 190 million pounds to the national exchequer.
