COAS Munir Visits South Waziristan, Pledges to ‘Hunt Down’ Terrorists

Chief of Army Staff( COAS) General Syed Asim Munir paid a visit to Asman Manza in South Waziristan District, six soldiers tragically lost their lives in an hassle with terrorists.

The visit was aimed at assessing the ongoing security situation and intelligence operations in the area. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations( ISPR), the army chief was briefed on the prevailing security conditions, including counter-terrorism operations.

During his visit, General Munir had the occasion to engage with officers and colors posted in the region, delivering their unvarying commitment in the fight against terrorism. General Munir expressed his deep appreciation for the offerings made by the soldiers, emphasizing that these killers are a source of pride for the nation. He reiterated that their offerings won’t be in vain and will continue to serve as a driving force until complete peace and stability are restored in Pakistan.

The COAS emphasized the grim pursuit of terrorists and their associates who operate with the intent of destabilizing Pakistan at the decree of hostile dockets. He reaffirmed the army’s commitment to hunt down and bring to justice those who pose a trouble to the nation’s security. The woeful incident passed a day before when six soldiers were martyred during an exchange of fire with terrorists in South Waziristan.

The fortified forces reported that they had effectively engaged the terrorists, performing in the elimination of four terrorists while two others were injured. sorely, during the violent attack, six soldiers lost their lives. The fortified forces remain determined to annihilate the scourge of terrorism, and the offerings of these soldiers only serve to strengthen their resoluteness in this ongoing battle.

In a separate operation on August 19, two terrorists were killed in an intelligence- grounded operation in the Khyber quarter of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, emphasizing the uninterrupted sweats to combat terrorism in the region.
