The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to immediately de-seal the office of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) located in Islamabad’s G-8 sector.
The decision was announced by Justice Saman Riffat on Tuesday, following the acceptance of PTI’s plea against the sealing of their office.
The CDA had previously sealed the office, citing violations of building rules as part of an anti-encroachment operation. A portion of the PTI headquarters was demolished, and the office was sealed earlier this month. According to CDA officials, the office had established a large-scale encroachment by occupying land adjacent to the plot.
The CDA spokesperson stated that the operation was part of a broader campaign against encroachment in the capital and was conducted without any discrimination.
Following the IHC’s order, the CDA is required to de-seal the PTI office immediately, allowing the party to resume its activities at the location.
