The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has dismissed the requests made by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief and his wife, Bushra Bibi, for transferring their cases from one court to another. The PTI chief had sought to have six cases related to May 9 riots and financial fraud moved to a different court, while his wife, Bushra Bibi, had made a similar request for a financial fraud case.

Chief Justice of IHC, Aamer Farooq, announced the verdict today, stating that the petitioners should approach the relevant forums if they wish to transfer the trials.

The court also fixed the hearing of all relevant cases in the Toshakhana case for the next week, denying an immediate stay order to the PTI chief.

In another matter, the IHC sent the Facebook posts of a judge, Humayun Dilawar, to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for verification. The FIA has been directed to submit a forensic report regarding the Facebook posts before the next hearing.

Overall, the IHC’s decision denied the transfer requests of the PTI chief and his wife, advising them to seek alternative options for their trials. Additionally, the court deferred the hearing of the Toshakhana case to the next week, and further investigations are ongoing regarding the Facebook posts made by a judge.
