PM Shehbaz Sharif Establishes Special Fund to Support Journalists

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a special fund for journalists and the issuance of health cards for media workers and artists. The announcement was made during a ceremony in Islamabad where the distribution of health cards for journalists, media workers, and artists was taking place.
Under the special fund, an allocation of Rs 4 million is being made for journalists who have passed away while performing their duties. The fund will also see further additions in the future. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the challenges that working journalists face in fulfilling their responsibilities and termed the special fund a revolutionary step in the field of journalism.
In addition to the fund, the Prime Minister announced the implementation of health cards, emphasizing that while everyone wishes for good health, illnesses are also a part of life. He congratulated everyone on the initiation of the health card program.
During his address, Shehbaz Sharif also mentioned that despite facing criticism and stories from journalists, he did not complain or respond negatively when he took over as Prime Minister on April 11 of the previous year. He acknowledged that criticism based on facts is valuable and authentic in shaping decisions and actions.
The initiatives, including the special fund and health cards, are aimed at providing support and benefits to journalists, media workers, and artists in recognition of their contributions and services to society.
