PTI Announces Public Rally in Swat

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership has opted to relocate its scheduled June 8 rally to Swat after facing refusal from the Islamabad administration to permit the rally in the capital city.

Despite the offer from the Islamabad administration to hold the public meeting on June 8 at Rawat, the top leadership of PTI, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, decided to reject the offer.

The decision to relocate the rally to Swat was made during a meeting attended by prominent leaders of PTI, including Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan, and Asad Qaiser.

The Islamabad district administration had initially refused permission for the PTI rally, despite an Islamabad High Court (IHC) order. However, during a hearing on a contempt of court plea filed by PTI in the IHC, it was revealed that the Deputy Commissioner’s Office had granted permission for the rally to be held on the Rawat-GT Road.

In response to the administration’s refusal, PTI leadership decided to shift the rally to Swat, demonstrating their determination to hold the event despite administrative challenges in Islamabad.
