The former Chief Minister of Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, has been re-arrested in Lahore shortly after being released by the Lahore High Court in the means Beyond Means case.
Capital police arrested the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf( PTI) chairman under the Punjab conservation of Public Order from Zahoor Elahi Road in Lahore, and he’s set to be transferred to Islamabad by helicopter. before in the day, Pervaiz Elahi was produced before the Lahore High Court, which ordered his release.
He’d been arrested by the public Responsibility Bureau( NAB) for failing to give information in the means beyond means case, which also involves his son, Monis Elahi, and other family members.
NAB has also initiated an inquiry against Monis Elahi in the inordinate means case. A platoon from NAB Lahore had taken former CM Pervaiz Elahi from Adiala Jail to appear before a session court in Rawalpindi for conveyance remand before hisre-arrest.
