Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif embarked on a day-long visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), according to Pakistan Talk Show.

This marks Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s first visit to the UAE since his election, as stated by the Foreign Office.

Accompanying him are Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.

Their discussions will focus on bilateral relations, particularly trade and investment.

The prime minister is also expected to engage with other Emirati dignitaries, businesspersons, and heads of financial institutions.

The longstanding fraternal relations between Pakistan and the UAE are deeply rooted in religious and cultural ties. This visit aims to further enhance the multifaceted bilateral collaboration between the two nations.

Prior to his UAE visit, on Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended a memorial ceremony for the late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his colleagues, who died in a tragic helicopter crash on May 19.

At the ceremony, the prime minister visited the hall where the late president’s body was laid to rest and offered prayers, as reported by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
