Sindh Chief Minister’s Visit to Sukkur: Inspection of Police Posts in Katcha Area on the Agenda

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah visited Sukkur to inspect police check posts installed in Ghotki and Kashmore districts of the province. Accompanied by provincial ministers and the I.G. Police Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, the chief minister’s visit aimed to assess the security situation in the region.

During his visit, CM Shah inspected police posts in the Katcha area of Ghotki and Kashmore districts, which are known to be affected by banditry. He also met with police officials on duty in the area.

In addition to security matters, the chief minister monitored the flood situation at Guddu Barrage. The Indus River has been experiencing medium floods at Guddu and Sukkur barrages, and the Flood Forecasting Division has predicted that the river may reach high-level floods at these locations within the next 12 to 24 hours.

Earlier, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah expressed the readiness of his government to dissolve the provincial assembly before its completion of tenure. The Sindh Assembly is scheduled to complete its tenure on the 13th of the following month. The government plans to hold consultations with the opposition regarding the formation of a caretaker setup, which will be in office for 90 days.
