Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Qazi Faez Isa received a warm welcome from the staff upon his arrival at the Supreme Court on Monday. Justice Isa was sworn in as the 29th CJP in a ceremony held at the President’s House on Sunday.
During his interaction with the Supreme Court registrar and other judicial staff, CJP Qazi Faez Isa emphasized the importance of serving the masses who come to the court seeking justice. He stated, “People come to the Supreme Court for justice.”
Despite being entitled to a guard of honour by the Islamabad police, the newly appointed CJP declined the honor.
Justice Qazi Faez Isa’s appointment marks an important moment in Pakistan’s judiciary, and he has started his tenure with a focus on the court’s role in delivering justice to the people.
