The Election Commission of Pakistan( ECP) has reportedly decided to remove Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf( PTI) principal Imran Khan from his position as the head of the party. This decision comes after Imran Khan’s recent arrest and conviction in the Toshakhana case. The ECP held a meeting to review the situation and the written verdict of the Islamabad sessions court, which set up Khan shamefaced of” loose practices.” During the meeting chaired by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja, it was determined that due to his conviction, Imran Khan is no longer eligible to hold the office of PTI president. As a result, the ECP is anticipated to issue orders for his redundancy from the post. Imran Khan was arrested from his hearthstone in Lahore after being doomed to three times in captivity for his involvement in the Toshakhana case. The court set up him shamefaced of designedly submitting fake details of Toshakhana gifts to the Election Commission of Pakistan. The verdict also included a forfeiture of Rs 100,000 and a protestation that Imran Khan is ineligible to hold public office for five times. The PTI verified his arrest and stated that he’s being moved to Kot Lakhpat Jail.
