IHC to Announce Toshakhana Verdict Tomorrow at 11 AM

The Islamabad High Court( IHC) has reserved its verdict on PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s plea seeking suspense of judgment in the Toshakhana case.

A two- member bench, comprising Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri, conducted the hail moment( Monday). Election Commission of Pakistan’s counsel, Amjad Parvez, presented his arguments in the case. The IHC will advertise its verdict here after( Tuesday) at 11 am.

Khan was doomed to three times in captivity and fined Rs 100,000 by a trial court before this month in the Toshakhana case. He challenged the verdict and approached the IHC for his release and suspense of the conviction. The ECP, meanwhile, had filed a private complaint against Khan in the same case.

The Toshakhana case relates to Khan’s alleged failure to deposit a precious diamond ring, which he entered as a gift from a foreign dignitary, into the government storeroom. He’s indicted of dealing the ring and pocketing the plutocrat.

Khan has denied all the allegations against him. The IHC’s verdict in the case is being keenly watched, as it could have counteraccusations for Khan’s politicalfuture.However, he could be disqualified from holding public office for five times, If the court upholds his conviction.
