Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali has officially approved the appointment of Justice( retd) Arshad Hussain Shah as the new caretaker chief minister for the province. This decision follows the recent end of Muhammad Azam Khan, the former caretaker chief minister, who suffered a heart attack a day before.

Muhammad Azam Khan assumed the part of caretaker chief minister in January this time after the parochial assembly was dissolved by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf( PTI)- led government.
