Former Punjab Chief Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf( PTI) President, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, has been transferred to Adiala jail on judicial remand by theAnti-Terrorism Court( ATC) in Islamabad.

Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was presented before ATC Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain’s court after the completion of his two- day physical remand in the judicial complex attack case. During the hail, the police requested another 10- day physical remand, which was denied by the ATC judge.

Accordingly, the court rejected the police’s request and ordered PTI President Elahi to be transferred to Adiala jail on 14- day judicial remand. He was arrested shortly after his release from the guardianship of the public Responsibility Bureau( NAB) on September 1. This arrest followed an earlier order by the Lahore High Court( LHC) that had averted authorities from arresting him on the same day.

The case against Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was registered at the CTD police station on September 3. He’s indicted of allegedly transferring rioters to Islamabad to trash the Judicial Complex and furnishing vehicles and bludgeons for this purpose. Elahi has faced multiple apprehensions and detentions since the May 9 screams.
