PM Shehbaz Declares Intention to Auction All Toshakhana Gifts

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has blazoned the decision to auction all the gifts stored in the Toshakhana, a department that houses precious gifts given to government officers, parliamentarians, and foreign dignitaries. The finances generated from the transaction will be employed for the weal of depressed and orphaned children. During a meeting with representatives from colorful media associations, including the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors( CPNE), All Pakistan journals Society( APNS), and Pakistan Broadcasters Association( PBA), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his commitment to using the proceeds from the transaction to support institutions that give care and education to orphaned children. He emphasized that the transaction’s thing is to help those who face challenges in life due to their circumstances. The Toshakhana, established in 1974 and managed by the Cabinet Division, holds precious gifts given to Pakistani officers by foreign leaders and dignitaries. This decision to auction the gifts comes in the wake of a recent court verdict that doomed former Prime Minister and PTI president Imran Khan to three times in jail in connection with the Toshakhana case. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s advertisement reflects an trouble to use the means of the Toshakhana for a noble cause and contribute to the betterment of society.
