On Thursday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the Bhara Kahu bypass in Islamabad and also laid the foundation stone of the Serena Chowk underpass.

During the inauguration ceremony, the Prime Minister highlighted that the project was completed in a remarkable time of just 9 months. He emphasized that the bypass would not only save travel time but also enhance tourism and everyday travel to KPK and AJK.

PM Shehbaz called for efforts to make the highway green, clean, and aesthetically pleasing through landscaping. He also commended the role of the army chief, General Asim Munir, and the National Logistics Cell (NLC) in the successful completion of the Bhara Kahu bypass project.

The Prime Minister expressed his hope that the political leadership and government departments would work collectively to make the bypass as beautiful as the road structures and landscapes of Baku, Azerbaijan.

He stressed the importance of reaching a political consensus and called on all institutions in Pakistan to work with dedication and commitment to contribute to the development of the country.

The Bhara Kahu bypass, which spans 5.4 kilometers, includes a 1350-meter-long overhead bridge and is expected to facilitate the people of Murree, Galyat, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
