Imran Khan’s Bail Extended in Six Cases

An anti-terrorism court in Lahore has extended the bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in six cases related to the May 9 violence. Khan appeared before the court after his bail ended and was granted an extension till August 8.

The PTI chief was nominated in multiple cases including the attack on Jinnah House, Askari Tower, and Shadman police station. The decision on his bail was reserved in two cases including Zille Shah’s murder and rioting.

This is not the first time that Khan’s bail has been extended. He has been facing over 100 cases under different charges in the country.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s Bail Extended in Three Cases

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore has also extended the interim bail of PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi till August 8 in three cases related to the May 9 vandalism. Qureshi appeared before the court after his bail ended and was granted an extension after hearing arguments from his lawyer.

The three cases against Qureshi are registered at the Sarwar Road, Gulberg, and Race Course police stations. These cases include the attack on Jinnah House and Askari Tower.

The extension of bail for both Khan and Qureshi is a relief for the PTI, as it allows them to continue their political activities without the fear of arrest. However, the cases against them are still pending, and it remains to be seen how they will be resolved.
