Elderly Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz( PML- N) leader Rana Sanaullah reflected on the recent story by a foreign media outlet regarding a secret document that allegedly supports former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s claims of being removed under American pressure after his Russia visit. Sanaullah stated that while there was nothing new in the story, an disquisition is necessary to establish the authenticity of the information or the source document. The Intercept had claimed to gain the secret document, but the US publication stated that it could not authenticate the document or corroborate its contents. Rana Sanaullah described the situation as potentially minatory, unfaithful, and inflammatory. He reminded the public that Imran Khan had a dupe of the string in question, which he has not returned and has admitted to losing or losing. Sanaullah suggested that if proven shamefaced, Khan should be tried under the Official Secrets Act. He expressed enterprises about the implicit counteraccusations of the document’s contents. In response to the story, the US State Department, Matthew Miller, stated that he could not corroborate the authenticity of the document. He emphasized that indeed if the reported commentary were accurate, they didn’t indicate a preference for Pakistan’s leadership and were simply expressions of concern about policy choices. Miller noted that the commentary could be taken out of environment and used for political purposes. He reiterated that the US government has not obtruded in Pakistan’s internal opinions about leadership. The recent exposures have added a new subcaste of complexity to the ongoing political dynamics in Pakistan, particularly as the country heads into an election process following the dissolution of the National Assembly.
