A significant number of undocumented Afghan nationals are returning to Afghanistan, with 6,584 individuals having returned home in the past 24 hours, as reported by authorities.

To facilitate the safe exit of foreign nationals, temporary transit camps have been established in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces.

On Sunday, a large number of Afghan immigrants crossed into Afghanistan, and thousands more are present at the Torkham border, patiently waiting their turn to enter Afghanistan.

The Pakistani authorities are taking steps to support the safe departure of undocumented immigrants following the expiration of the deadline for illegal immigrants to stay in the country.

The majority of these individuals were Afghan nationals residing in Pakistan without proper documentation. Repatriation efforts are ongoing through the Chaman and Torkham border crossings.

Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti directed the relevant authorities to develop a comprehensive strategy for the repatriation of foreigners living illegally in Pakistan during a meeting. The caretaker interior minister has pledged to address the issue of illegal immigration and provide strong security for foreigners.
