Pakistani national athlete and Olympian Arshad Nadeem secured a silver medal in the men’s pikestaff gamble final at the World Athletics Championship. The 26- time-old athlete finished second, with India’s Neeraj Chopra winning the gold.

Arshad set a new public and Commonwealth Games record with a gamble of 90.18 measures, getting Pakistan’s first gold semifinalist in Commonwealth Games calisthenics since 1962.
