Imaan Mazari Granted Bail in Sedition Case

In Islamabad, an Anti-Terrorism Court( ATC) has approved the release on bail of mortal rights attorney Iman Mazari, who was arrested in connection with allegations of” hindrance in state affairs.”

ATC Judge Abu Al- Hasanat Zul- Qarnain presided over the hail, granting post-arrest bail to Iman Mazari in a sedition case related to her controversial speech against state institutions. This bail was granted against surety bonds of Rs 30,000.

During the court proceedings, the speech delivered by Iman Mazari at a rally, which was a central point of contention in the case, was reviewed. On the other hand, the execution raised their opposition, emphasizing that they hadn’t yet entered the report of the USB( Universal periodical machine) containing the speech and that a forensic examination of the speech was still pending.

This case has generated significant public interest, and fresh developments are anticipated as the disquisition progresses. before, an anti-terrorism court( ATC) in Islamabad had remanded mortal rights counsel Imaan Mazari to Adiala Jail after rejecting a request to extend her physical remand. The ATC handled the case involving Imaan Mazari, son of former civil minister Shireen Mazari and a mortal rights counsel, in relation to allegations of hindrance in state affairs.

Imaan Mazari was presented before the court by the police. The prosecutor informed the court that they had conducted voice matching and photogrammetry tests on the indicted. also, they were in the process of recovering reiterations of her written speeches. latterly, the court denied the request to extend the physical remand of the indicted counsel and rather transferred her to Adiala Jail on judicial remand.
