Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Ishaq Dar, welcomed the newly appointed British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott CMG OBE, during a meeting at the Finance Division.
During their discussion, both parties emphasized the importance of the long-standing historical ties between Pakistan and the United Kingdom. They explored opportunities to further enhance these relations for the mutual benefit of both nations.
Minister Dar provided an overview of Pakistan’s economic outlook and the challenges faced by the outgoing government during its tenure. He also highlighted the government’s efforts and policy decisions that led to economic stability and positive growth in the country.
The meeting also covered the current macroeconomic situation globally and in Pakistan. The British High Commissioner expressed her desire to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in various sectors.
Minister Ishaq Dar assured his support and cooperation to the British High Commissioner in furthering the ties between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
