A minor housemaid named Rizwana, who was allegedly subjected to torture at the house of a judicial officer in Islamabad, bravely recorded her statement along with her father. The police team recorded their statements, and Rizwana confirmed the allegations of torture at the hands of the judicial officer’s wife.
The incident involved child labor, which is a punishable offense under the law, and the police assured that a thorough investigation is underway. They stated that all individuals involved in the crime will be held accountable according to the law, and provisions related to child labor will be considered in the case.
According to the girl’s family, Rizwana had been working as a servant at the civil judge’s house in Islamabad for six months, but she was allegedly subjected to brutal torture by the judge’s wife. The parents lodged a case with the police after finding more than 15 torture marks on Rizwana’s face and body.
The seriously wounded maid was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital for medical assistance and later referred to Lahore Hospital for further treatment. The police stated that the torture case will be lodged at a police station in Islamabad, and justice will be sought for Rizwana.
