Hafiz Hamdullah, the spokesperson for Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and a senior leader of JUI-F, criticized the newly formed parties of former PTI leaders Jahangir Khan Tareen and Pervez Khattak. He referred to the parties, Istekham-e-Pakistan Party and PTI Parliamentarians, as groups of ‘opportunists’.

Hamdullah also expressed his views on the leadership of the Sharif brothers. He stated that while people may consider Shahbaz Sharif a better administrator, Nawaz Sharif was a better prime minister. He emphasized that Nawaz Sharif’s three-time election as prime minister is a testament to his leadership abilities.

Regarding the upcoming elections, Hamdullah asserted that the PDM is committed to democratic principles and wants elections to be held on time. He mentioned that informal talks for the appointment of the caretaker prime minister have begun with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.

Regarding alliances, the JUI-F leader clarified that the PDM will not form an electoral alliance with any party but might consider seat adjustments. He expressed concerns about the opposition to the appointment of Haji Ghulam Ali as KP’s governor, stating that reservations should be discussed in meetings rather than being highlighted in the media.
