Interior Minister and PML-N leader, Rana Sanaullah, assured that there is no deadlock between the government and coalition partners regarding the dissolution of the assembly. He stated that the assembly will be dissolved two days before its formal completion. The coalition partners are currently considering the appointment of a politician as the caretaker Prime Minister.

Sanaullah mentioned that Ishaq Dar or any other politician could be chosen as the caretaker PM based on the final decision of the coalition partners. He also revealed that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif will soon return to the country. Sharif is expected to appear before the courts after securing protective bail and actively participate in politics after being acquitted in all cases.

Earlier, Rana Sanaullah expressed outrage over criticism against Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s potential nomination for the caretaker PM’s slot. He clarified that no decision has been made yet, and the names of politicians are merely suggestions under consideration.

Contradicting the possibility of Ishaq Dar becoming caretaker PM, PML-N central leader Khawaja Asif stated that a caretaker PM acts as an umpire in the caretaker setup. He emphasized that Ishaq Dar’s name was not considered for the role on any platform, and the federal government did not hint at appointing him as caretaker premier. The news about his potential nomination was leaked by a reputed journalist in the media.
