Petrol Prices Surge by Rs 14.9 per Litre

The interim government made a significant advertisement on Friday, unveiling an increase in petrol prices by Rs14.9 per litre. This hike brings the rate of petrol to Rs305.36 per litre. In addition, the price of high- speed diesel( HSD) saw a substantial increase of Rs18.44 per litre, reaching Rs311.84.

These price adaptations come in the wake of former increases before in August when petrol prices were raised by Rs17.50 per litre to Rs290.45. High- speed diesel also saw an increase, reaching Rs293.40 per litre. Before this, the civil government had raised petrol prices by Rs19.95 per litre on August 1.

It’s important to note that the caretaker Finance Minister, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, has emphasized that there’s no room for fresh subventions within the International Monetary Fund( IMF) agreements, as the caretaker government inherited the being IMF program.
