PM Shehbaz Sharif Embarks on One-Day Visit to UAE

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif embarked on a one-day visit to the United Arab Emirates on Friday to offer his condolences on the demise of Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the brother of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Upon his arrival, the Prime Minister was warmly received by Pakistan’s ambassador to the UAE, Emirati officials, and personnel from the Pakistan embassy. Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar and Special Assistant to the PM Tariq Fatemi also accompanied him on this important visit.

During his stay in the UAE, Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to visit the Royal Palace to personally express his condolences to the UAE President on behalf of the entire Pakistani nation. This gesture aims to show solidarity and support to the grieving family during this difficult time.

Earlier, President Dr. Arif Alvi conveyed his heartfelt grief over the loss of Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and extended his prayers for peace for the departed soul. He also prayed for strength and fortitude for the bereaved family to cope with their loss.

“In this moment of sorrow, my sympathies, along with those of the Pakistani nation, are with the people and the royal family of the UAE,” the President expressed. This expression of solidarity reflects the strong bond between Pakistan and the UAE and their shared sense of grief on the passing of a significant member of the Emirati royal family.
