Tragic Loss: Army Major and Two Comrades Martyred in KP Clash with Terrorists

In a woeful incident, an army major and a dogface were martyred during an intelligence- grounded operation conducted by security forces in North Waziristan District’s Miran Shah area.

The operation was launched to target a group of terrorists. Major Amir Aziz, leading the operation, interdicted the terrorists, performing in an exchange of fire. During this violent attack, one terrorist was killed, and another was injured. Tragically, Major Amir Aziz and Sepoy Muhammad Arif lost their lives in the line of duty. Security forces are presently engaged in sanitizing the area to exclude any remaining terrorists.

The Inter-Services Public Relations( ISPR) expressed the determination of Pakistan’s security forces to annihilate terrorism and stressed the offerings made by dogfaces in strengthening this resoluteness. In this engagement, a terrorist was killed, and Havildar Muntazir Shah, a stalwart dogface, laid down his life. The ISPR noted that the taken terrorist had been involved in multitudinous attacks against security forces and civilians. Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, visited Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in response to a self-murder bombing that claimed the lives of nine dogfaces the former day.

During his visit, General Munir stated that the nation can not be constrained by the dastardly tactics of terrorists and reiterated the country’s commitment to fight terrorism relentlessly.
